A big thank you to everyone who made HOPOS 2022 such a success. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new people, in amongst an abundance of interesting talks. Can you believe it's 30 years since the formation of the HOPOS working group?! Here are the slides and text of my plenary talk, which was primarily on Philosophical Mechanics -- the subject of Marius Stan's and my book project (draft manuscript now complete!)
A special congratulations to the three Duke graduate students -- Caleb Hazelwood, Michael Veldman, and Qiu Lin -- all of whom gave excellent presentations (Newton on bodies; the Principle of Least Action; and Du Châtelet on physical explanation, respectively).
