Marius's and my book manuscript is coming along, we think we're on the last leg. I recently gave a talk in Oxford about the chapter on d'Alembert. We use Einstein's constructive/principle distinction as a tool of analysis for 18th century rational mechanics and philosophical mechanics. You can find it on YouTube here.
